Game day is just around the corner…come see us Saturday, June 22 as we take on Little Steel Derby Girls from Youngstown, Ohio. The game starts at 7 p.m. at HotShots Arena. Tickets are $8 if reserved in advance or $10 at the door, and kiddos age 12 and under are always free.

Our “Learn to Play Roller Derby” Boot Camp is back, and better than ever! We have a new year and news goals of teaching all interested women age 18 and over how to enjoy a sport that we love. We teach you everything you need to know in order to join our team and compete. From skating posture and form to understanding strategy, we’ve got you covered. Our session begins January 27 and will run for 5 weeks on Sunday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Ice Mine located at 5001 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, PA. The cost for the course is $25 and loaner gear is available. We do ask that you bring your own mouth guard. We are so excited to announce our fall boot camp designed to teach the basic skating skills necessary to play derby. This class will cover skills, technique, and general fitness. If you’ve ever wanted to give roller derby a chance, here is your shot. We are hosting a drop-in practice and open house on January 15 at The Ice Mine starting at 6:00 p.m and concluding at 8:00 p.m. Loaner gear will be available. We teach you the fundamentals of skating and derby in order for you to become a part of this amazing group of women. If you want to make friends, get fit, and have fun, derby may be a great sport for you! Volunteers, referees, and non-skating officials are also always needed.
